Spring flowers are popping up everywhere! Winter was mild this year, but it is always good to see the trees turning green and the flowers blooming.
The image is an older stamp set from Flourishes though I can’t recall the name of the set. I turned this colored image into the focal point of the Easter card I sent to a good friend. The sentiment is stamped in versamark and embossed with WOW gold embossing powder. Per my normal style, I went with clean lines with layers. I donate the vast majority of my cards to children’s hospitals. Cards without lots of embellishments or glitter are safer for the kids. Want to donate a few or a lot of your cards? All my Copic students can attest, I do not like the color yellow. I don’t even like yellow a little bit, but apparently, the rest of the world does like this color. I don’t know why, but I’ll just accept it as fact! So in honor of those misguided people, I played with the various color groupings available in the Copic system. Each flower uses a different combination of “that” color. I still do not like yellow, but it was fun to show the large range color!
Reminder….Open House is tomorrow from 5-7pm at Simple Pleasures. All of the classes will be open for registration! I hope to see many of you there. If you’re not able to make it, check out my Class calendar page for all of my classes.
