Ranger techniques led us into the New Year!
With a New Year comes changes:) I’m in the process of integrating all of my art on social media. There are multiple channels in which to follow me, find me and keep up to date on all of the class going ons!
All of my crafting/art goodies can now be found on my Facebook business page Shelby Thomas Designs. I’ve also designed the page so you are able to post and share all of your fantastic work. I hope to see you there.
In the next week or two, I’ll be changing around my Pinterest and Instagram accounts as well to reflect all of this newness. I have a couple of other new adventures to share, but I’ll save those for another post.
So onto the even better stuff. We had a wonderful class at Simple Pleasures Stamp and Scrapbooking last week. We pulled out the Ranger and Tim Holtz products and got busy getting inky. I may have seen some ink or paint or other medium as high up as an elbow!
A big thank you to all! Everyone’s work was amazing. As I was unpacking materials from class (and there was a lot), I saw a squirrel and decided hmmm maybe I should use this stuff while it is out, and I can find it:)
I made a set of 4 using this technique (paint resist and using the brayer, paint directly to the stamp)
Translucent paste, brayer and paint.
Another set of 4 was made with the brayer and paint but I also did background stamping and then added a layer of translucent medium for more texture to the design.
See not everything has to be on a tag! Turn those beautiful techniques into cards or canvases or layouts! The sky is the limit.
Thanks for stopping by for a visit today and can’t wait to see you in the next class. Want to see more or share yours? Join me on my Facebook page. I’d love to see you there.
