No Line Copic Coloring
No Line Copic Coloring is on tap for today’s card.
I finally got back to my roots over the last week and did some coloring just for the sake of coloring! As with many of us, many of my stamps have not been inked and digital stamps never printed. I pulled out a neglected stamp from Dove Art Studios. This style of stamp is heavily lined and no line Copic coloring works best.
The stamp is called Columbine, which just so happens to be the state flower of Colorado! Anyone notice I put the image upside down on the card? Oh well, just telling myself it’s floating!
The sentiment is from an older Flourishes stamp set and embossed with gold embossing powder from WOW.
A couple of tips for coloring stamps which are heavily lined:
- Try to stamp with a color of ink which will be complementary to your coloring.
- Trying to override black ink with your coloring mediums can be difficult
- Not ready for no line coloring (very pale ink) try a gray ink or a lighter brown so you have more lines to follow while coloring
- As you gain more experience and confidence in your coloring, keep lightening up the ink until it does become no line!
