Embossing with stencils video tutorial

Keep scrolling down for the video tutorial on embossing with stencils.

Whoohoo, it’s that time again!  Time for the January Memory Box release.  You’ll have lots of chances to win some amazing dies.  Each day on the Outside the Box Blog, there will be a post showing a new die, and all you need to do is comment on the day’s post (or posts), and you’ll be entered in the drawing to win the die noted in the post.  See how easy that is no hopping or jumping and it takes just a few moments!

So anyhoo onto my post for the day…

I’ve used the gorgeous new butterfly die called Marielle Butterfly and this is the die that is up for grabs in the random drawing.  I guess I’m in the butterfly mood recently, and this one is fun and easy to use.  I also tossed in the new dies….mini butterflies and the paintbrush happy word die.  The butterflies were foiled using the MINC machine with Rose Gold.  It’s a little hard to see the beautiful shimmer on the foil due to the lighting, but IRL it’s looks gorgeous.

The background was done with heat and dry embossing combined with various colors of distress ink.  Remember the video from a couple of days ago?  Ok I’ll re-post it below because who wants to do all that ridiculous clicking around.  But all you’ll need to do is combine both segments of the video to make the combo of heat/dry.

Here’s a side view where you can see the color of the foil a little bit better.  Don’t forget to head on over the Outside the box  blog for a chance to win Marielle.

And here’s the video
