What is the difference between your parties and classes?

Parties/events are hosted by a customer who chooses the type of project and invites guests. Classes are predetermined by me and are narrow in focus and scope to a specific art/design technique.

Where are parties held?

The location is decided by the host(ess).

Where are classes held?

Classes are held at a local Colorado Springs store. 5525 Library Lane CS CO.

Is there a minimum/maximum # of guests for a party/event?

Yes. Minimum is 5 guests. There is no maximum number of guests but additional fees apply for parties/events of 20+ guests.

What is the host responsible for providing for the painting portion of the party/event?

Location, tables and chairs. All other supplies for the completion of the painting project are provided by Shelby Thomas Designs.

What is the cost?

Because each party/event is unique and chosen by the host, the cost varies. Typical cost per person ranges between $30-$45. Children event costs per person range between $15-$25.

Can my guests choose between different projects in one party?

Yes. Up to 3 different designs can be available for wood cut out projects. Canvas paints and mixed media projects are 1 design per party.

Is a down payment required?

Yes. It is based on size of event, and a down payment is required to reserve date/time.

How long are parties?

Based on project chosen, typical painting time is 2-3 hrs with set up 1 hour prior to time guests are to begin painting.

How far in advance do I need to book a party?

I recommend 3 weeks in advance to ensure delivery of chosen project materials.

How far are you willing to travel for a party?

60 miles one way from Monument, CO. Up to 120 miles one way from Monument but additional fees will apply.
