Zig marker is on tap for today’s creation
Oh it’s a start of another wonderful week in Colorado. Have I mentioned the kids go back to school on August 17th? That’s like next year right?!!
I’m still trying to find a creative schedule that works and not feel like I’m being such a slug. I taught a fabulously fun zig marker class the week before last and everyone had a blast and did an amazing job with all of the different techniques. I was in the process of putting away the class supplies and the oh look “squirrel” phenomenon hit me and I decided to create my own card using the different techniques.
The stamp is from Penny Black and just perfect for creating a watercolor look. I stamped in DI tumbled glass for the no lines look and to also create an underpinning of color.
I found some awesomely fun stencils from istencils called BadAss HotWingz stencils. These stencils are for face painting, but I figure skin/paper it’s doable and there are days my skin feels like paper anyways!! I love the shape and size of them and the different smaller patterns on each of the stencils. Plus, they come with a shield so when using just a portion of the stencil, put the shield under and no “accidentally” getting another pattern.
I used my clarity brushes to brush in some DI spun sugar. These brushes rock as well. None of the heavy inkage through the stencil like with the foam applicator.
That’s it for today folks. Have a wonderful week. If you’d like to join me in upcoming classes, please check out my class calendar to find the class which is perfect for you.
