Post-It tape with distress inks
Pull out the post it tape with distress inks and let’s get busy. Afternoon all! I hope the day is treating you well.
Every once in a while I need to put my markers/pens away and try out different mediums to freshen things up a bit. I’m not one to love to have my fingers inky/painty/messy/dirty but that’s probably because I always end up with a dirty finger print smack dab in the middle of where I don’t want it to be. I would be the world’s worst criminal…leaving a fingerprint trail right back to my door. Having said that, I am trying to get over myself and my need to be “clean” and having some more fun with all of this crafting stuff:)
I was playing around with the distress inks and post it tape for some class ideas for complementary backgrounds with Copic work and voila came up with something that might look a little like plaid. Of course, I doubt manufacturers make their plaid patterns crooked, but hopefully a recipient wouldn’t notice!
I did have fun though playing around with the different colors and the different sized lines I was creating using just 2 pieces of post it tape. Perhaps next time, I’ll actually study a plaid pattern to make it look more authentic. I think this card will make a perfect masculine birthday card…colorful and simple enough for a guy.
And nice and flat for mailing!! I’m not sure I’m going to use this in a class project as it was a little time consuming, but then again, you never know:)!!
Thanks for visiting today and hope the rest of your day is wonderful
