MINC foil and butterflies
MINC foil and butterflies are on tap for today’s card.
Whoohoo the holiday weekend is here! Well not that we’re doing anything awesomely fantastic, but holidays are always fun plus the weather has been amazingly beautiful this last week and hopefully it continues through the weekend.
I have a quick Memory Box post to share with you today. I finally got around to playing with my Heidi Swapp MINC machine and oh how I just love how easy it is to use. Simple and to the point instructions (that actually work) and right up my alley. Plus I love the end result and have lots of project ideas running around in my head:)
I used the die Fluttering Corner and cut it out twice. I love that fact that the butterflies cut separately even though they are in the same die as the corner cut. Lots of variety you can create with one die. I used two different foil colors for the butterflies and layered them for some dimension. Gold foil was used for the vine. The sentiment, Happiness, was stamped with Avery Elle’s teal pigment ink and clear embossed to create a resist for the background watercoloring which was done with Distress Inks (peacock feathers, mermaid lagoon and twisted citron).
There is a new monthly Memory Box challenge up with the color theme of Red, White and Blue. I hope you’ll join in this month for a chance to show off your gorgeous creations and of course for a chance to win some Memory Box goodness.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope your holiday weekend is safe and fun.
