Inchie Art Tiles
Inchie Art tiles are on tap for today’s card design.
It’s time for another Memory Box post showing off one of my fav die from the January 2015 release, and my new obsession, Art Squares from Inchie Arts. I decided to try and merge 3 of my favorite crafting items…Copics, Dies and Art Squares and here’s what I came up with.
This die is called Fairyland Butterflies, and I used a 3×3 Art square from Inchie Arts and cut an impression into the square. The thin wafer die doesn’t cut all the way through the squares but leaves a beautiful impression. I used the impression as a coloring guide for Copics and colorless blender to create the watercolor look on the 3×3 square. The background on the square was created with Copics and colorless blender. Panpastel was next to soften and smooth out the look of the coloring. I cut the die a second time with 2 sided adhesive and used neon pink glitter and placed behind the tile lining up the butterflies.
There was one full butterfly that otherwise would’ve been hidden behind the tile. I cut it out and adhered to the tile and bent the wings to create some dimension. The background was created with the stencil Scraped Paint (with pink pigment ink and clear embossing powder) which looked like rain to me:)
The sentiment is from the exclusive set available at Simple Pleasures. I’ve added a second Memory Box class on Thursday April 2 5:30-8:00pm using the new release Memory Box dies. This class is also available as a kit. Please call the store, Simple Pleasures, at 719-528-1338 to register for class or a kit
Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
