Caran D’Ache Neocolors Flowers
Caran D’Ache Neocolors flowers are center stage for today’s coloring. I cleaned up my craft room to the point where I could finally create something. Penny Black’s newly released have been calling my name for a couple of weeks. Peony stamp was on the agenda for today’s card.
I used my Caran D’Ache Necolor II crayons instead of my Zig markers or distress inks. Instead of coloring the stamped image with the crayons, direct to stamp technique was used. Better success happened when the stamp was lightly misted with water prior to the direct to stamp technique. When the stamp was dry, it was more difficult to get enough color on the stamp for the colors to blend and to make a darker impression on the paper.
A small round paintbrush was used with the crayons to create more depth and contrast. The crayons were scribbled onto my craft sheet, and the colors were picked up using the small wet round brush. White neocolor crayon was colored directly onto the paper after the colors had dried to create highlights. Spun Sugar distress blended in from the edges to soften the white paper. I used UTEE to create the white speckles for more contrast. The sentiment was stamped using black versafine.
A fun, fast and easy card! Thanks for swinging by for a visit today. I’d love to socialize with you and would love to see you join me on my Facebook page!
