Beagle Coloring copic markers
Good morning everyone! I hope y’all are doing well and your week is off to a good start. The weather has finally warmed up around here and no more snow (for now)! I’ve meant to get around to visiting everyone, but the Olympics seem to be capturing my attention. I tell myself, I’m not going to watch and I’ll get other things done and before I know it, I’ve watched an entire curling match (still don’t quite get it). Or I’ve watched a cross country skiing race thinking I would probably die of respiratory failure if I had to try and get up one of those hills. And that’s just walking up the hill. Oh and the Canadians rocked the moguls!! I need to ice my knees now.
We had another wonderfully fun Copic class this past Saturday and learned a few new techniques…some a bit more challenging than others. But the students were awesome and stuck it out and shocked themselves at how well they actually did. A few weeks back in another class, we worked on animals and different textures for their fur/coats. I wanted to use this stamp in class, but it didn’t arrive in time. So maybe next time around on that class, it can make an appearance.
This stamp is from Impression Obsession called Beagle and the sentiment is from CC Designs. I kept this card even simpler than I normally do since I wanted it more of a masculine design and wanted the beagle to take center stage.
I did a quasi no-lines technique using Memento Desert Sand as I didn’t want the lines completely gone when I colored and I needed a softer shade of brown to not overtake the image itself.
He was colored up with an array of E copic color family with a bit of Ws tossed in in the shadow areas. I also had to use some colored pencil to finish some of the detail work as the darker Es are notorious for building up on top of the paper and getting sticky.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of their week.
